Q: Microdermabrasion. Should I believe the hype?
A: Yes, please do! Microdermabrasion is a non-surgical, non-chemical, non-invasive method of skin resurfacing. Our spa uses a diamond tip wand made from REAL diamond shavings for this procedure which makes for an effective exfoliation and rejuvenation of the superficial layers of the skin. The diamonds blast away old, dead skin cells, which the machines vacuum picks up with suction. This promotes the growth of collagen and new, healthy skin. Microdermabrasion results are usually immediate and noticeable. Results improve with multiple treatments and vary depending on your individual skin quality. The great thing about receiving this treatment is that it has no downtime. You can return to your normal routine and apply cosmetics directly after treatment.
Q: Is this procedure for me?
A: The ideal candidate for microdermabrasion is someone with minor skin conditions or imperfections and realistic expectations about what microdermabrasion can and cannot do. Microdermabrasion works well for damaged skin, whether affected by acne, sun damage or aging; and skin of any type or color. It has proven to be effective in the treatment of the following conditions: fine lines; enlarged or clogged pores; mild acne and complexion issues; sun damage; superficial age spots; scaly skin lesions also called keratoses; hyper-pigmentation; uneven skin tone; oily skin; dry/patchy skin; acne scarring; black/white heads; stretch marks; and dull, lifeless skin. HYDRAFACIAL/HYDRADERMABRASION- All Skin Types
Q: What is Hydradermabrasion?
A: Microdermabrasion but supercharged with water and oxygen! This indulgent, hydrating facial includes a deep cleansing, followed by exfoliation, extractions, and antioxidant rejuvenation. The procedure uses water and oxygen to exfoliate the skin, leaving it feeling clean, smooth, and refreshed. It starts with a water-based solution being blasted onto the skin to break up the topmost layer of dead skin cells. Using the spiral suction tip of our device, dead skin cells are carried away, providing a gentle method of extraction. Next, a chemical solution is delivered in the same way to increase exfoliation. The final steps involve the same pressurized delivery of treatment serums customized to the needs of the skin. Because all steps are delivered in a hydrating, water-based solution, this procedure delivers an impressive amount of hydration to the skin. Your skin is left in its most perfect form.

Facials help you achieve lighter, brighter skin. If you receive a Deluxe Facial, your treatment mask will be tailored based on you skincare concern (dry, oily, sensitive, etc)

It helps keep your skin healthy, nourished, and replenished, which all prevent or reduce fine lines, creases and wrinkles. Our skin care therapists start by using the classic facial technique but then treat skin with light therapy and also vitamin packed serums and natural products to nourish and replenish your skin. Your’re left with improved skin texture, tone, tightness, fine lines, and yep you guessed it, improved wrinkle areas.
ACNE FACIAL - Oily or Problematic skin
Q: Should I choose the acne facial?
A: Our anti-acne treatment helps naturally exfoliate the skin to clear the skin and prevent future breakouts. Our acne services include a deep pore cleansing facial with extraction to the removal of buildup in clogged pores, then to the exfoliation and sanitation of your skin to prevent bacteria from spreading. We use a combination of five different therapy machines to make sure your skin is left refreshed, renewed, and essentially acne free. Acne treatment facials are most helpful for mild acne, minor blemishes, and mild comedonal breakouts. For moderate to severe acne, this type of facial will not be helpful. These serious forms of acne should be treated by a dermatologist with prescription medications.
CHEMICAL PEEL - Severely Problematic Skin (Cystic Acne)
Q: What do chemical peels do?
A: Chemical peeling resurface the skin by creating a controlled wound that removes superficial layers of the skin. As a result, chemical peels promote the growth of a new healthy top skin layer and improve skin problems. Because we are a natural based skin facility, we ONLY chemical peel for severely problematic skin. If you' battle with hyper-pigmentation, the best option for you is the more natural micro-needling procedure.
Q: What should I expect during treatment?
A: Procedures vary. Skin is prepped using a medical degreaser to ensure the treated area is free of any oils left on the skin. The chemical agent is then applied and typically remains on the skin for 3 to 5 minutes. Most clients feel a mild stinging which is temporary and usually subsides after a few minutes.
Q: What is are the aftercare instructions?
A: Recovery times will vary based on the type and strength of the peel. Immediately after the peel, your skin will feel tight and may be red. Peeling usually lasts 3-5 days. MOISTURIZER is super important during this time. Use of gentle cleanser, and sunscreen is also important. Normal activity may be resumed after the peel, however strenuous exercise and heavy sweating should be avoided for 3 days. Sun exposure should be avoided while skin is peeling. Peeling skin should be allowed to slough off naturally; picking or peeling of flaking skin is prohibited, as it may lead to scarring. Use of prescription topicals should be avoided for 3-5 days post peel.
MICRONEEDLING for Hyperpigmentation - All Skin Types
Q: Who is a good candidate?
A: Microneedling is most commonly used at the Blush Bar to treat moderate hyper-pigmentation. It is also used for those looking to improve the look of acne scars, boost collagen, or help with aging skin. If you have active acne, we ask that you wait for treatment as it will irritate the area, making your face more inflamed and potentially spread bacteria.
Q: Is it painful?
A: Each person has a different comfort level, but we have not experienced a patient that feels greater than mild discomfort. You are able to take a Tylenol before the procedure.
Q: How many treatments will I need?
A: This is hard to answer without a skin care assessment, however most clients see mild improvement after the first treatment, and continued improvement by treatment three.
Q: What can I expect afterward?
A: You cannot go into the sun, swim, exercise or wear makeup for at least 48 hours. Use gentle products for the first week (Cetaphil or CeraVe are great). Your skin will lightly flake (peel) generally at day 3. DO NOT PICK THE SKIN. You can use Neosporin if the peeling causes discomfort. Use a gentle moisturizer. Your face will begin developing its new skin in about 2 weeks. You can repeat your service in four weeks.
Dermaplane- Normal, Dry, Dull
Q: Do I need dermaplane?
A: If you haven’t been to see your skin care therapist recently, chances are yes, you do! Dermaplane is a procedure that removes the top layers of your skin to not only deeply exfoliate, but to also help the skins surface become more smooth. The after effects include better product penetration, healthier/brighter skin, reduced blemish appearance, and even an amazing new glow!

Q: Does my hair grow back thicker?
A: No, because of the instrument used as well as the technique your will NOT grow back thicker or darker. Vellus hair are the tiny hairs on our face, eyelids, ears, and even the palm of our hands. This type of hair cannot grow back thicker or darker no matter how many times you remove it.

A: Acne sucks. We know it. Using an aggressive approach to treat your skin can often leave it damaged, dry, or even plastic looking. Our Enzyme treatment uses a more milder, yet effective approach. When the correct formulations of enzymes are applied to the skin, hydrolysis of the dead cells and the impurities burdening the living cells begins in about twenty minutes. This focus enables us to help those who want to revise problem skin as well as those simply wanting to maintain a healthy balance. Our Acne Clearing Treatment assists in balancing oil production and killing bacteria. These products penetrate the pores to kill existing p. acnes bacteria while preventing further breakouts. BODY TREATMENTS- Treatment for scars, hyperpigmentaion, stretch marks
Q: Help! What do I need to treat this area on my body?
A: We’ve seen everything! Scars from falling off bicycles, breast lift/breast reduction scars, hyperpigmentation from old acne that covers entire backs, and even burns. You name it. We’ve treated it. So whats the low down or is it the down low, anyway, this procedure rocks. We use a gentle instrument that breaks up old damaged skin tissue to stimulate the growth of fibroblasts, which are precursors to new collagen in the skin. Because each client and each case is different, we cannot determine the approach we use until we see you in our facility, but please know there IS help for your concern.
Brazilian Dark Spot Treatment- Treatment for scars, hyperpigmentaion, stretch marks
Q: What is this exactly?
A: The dark spot treatment treats mild to moderate hyperpigmentation on top of the vagina and also along the bikini line. We use an instrument called an intense pulsed high output wand to break up the hyperpigmentation. The top of the device uses small needles to open the skin and the LED light then breaks up the hyperpigmentation. We use vitamin C during this procedure to not only heal the skin rapidly but to also increase the reversal of the hyperpigmentation. The procedure will cause minimal discomfort. You cannot swim, have sex, or exercise for 24 hours. You must keep the area clean with a mild soap such as Dove and hydrated with any natural oil such as cocoa butter or coconut oil for three days. You will notice slight flaking from the area in two to three days after the procedure and results generally after three weeks. You can return at week four for another session.
Back, Thigh, and Booty Facials-
Q: What do each treat?
A: The three services listed above are pretty awesome and treat different body concerns. Clients that we typically see for back and booty have been ailed with body acne. Our special and unique process that we use is geared up to treat such. Past clients who have suffered from body acne are almost always left with hyperpigmentation, while these services will help diminish mild hyperpigmentation, moderate hyperpigmentation should be treated by scheduling a body/scar treatment. Our thigh facial is a bit more unique than the others. With this treatment, we’re more so concentrating on evening out skin tone instead of acne. However, acne can be targeted if this is your concern. With the thigh facial, if any moderate hyperpigmentation presents, its best to schedule a body/scar treatment instead.
